The EU Green Deal is meant to shape Europe’s path toward a greener and fairer future. But who really benefits—and who is being left behind? As crises multiply—climate breakdown, rising inequality, shrinking civil society space—the need for justice-based solutions has never been more urgent.

Join us for the first webinar in our new series on the EU Green Deal, where we take a fresh look at Europe’s most important environmental policy from an ecofeminist perspective. We will launch our EU Green Deal Toolkit for Youth, a guide designed to help young people understand how environmental, gender, and social justice are all connected—and how you can get involved.

Speakers:

• Clara Presman – Gender specialist and author of the EU Green Deal Toolkit for Youth, with experience from grassroots to policy level.
• Leo Czarnecki – Researcher on the Green Deal’s inclusivity, focusing on women’s environmental health.
• Ariadne Prein – Young Climate Movement board member in the Netherlands (Jonge Klimaatbeweging), working to make climate policy more ambitious and fair.
• Julie Bos – Oxfam International, EU climate justice expert, focusing on biofuels, climate, and inequality.
• Anna Ackerman – Policy analyst on Ukraine’s green reconstruction and sustainable recovery.

Clara will present the toolkit, Leo and Ariadne will share their views as young people, and Julie and Anna will discuss the EU Green Deal’s current state.

Together, we will explore why the Green Deal matters, how it impacts our daily lives, and what’s missing from the current approach. This is not just a climate issue—it’s a justice issue. And young voices are key to creating lasting change. This webinar is part of the Imagining Climate Just Futures Programme, lead by Oxfam Intermon.
